Missing My Ol' Boy
Yesterday was long and trying. I went down to Bethesda, MD (a 2 hour drive from home) for a conference. Got bad directions twice and was 30 minutes late. Got stressed out and a migraine. Took too long to get out of the metro-Washington, D.C. area (if you've ever been inside the Beltway, you might have noticed how signs or lack of signs can mess you up, and then it'll take a long time to get back because of all the one way streets and no-left/right-turn signs). I didn't get home by 8:15 pm, after 14 hours of travel and conference.
All I wanted to do was sit or lay down with Chatham.
He was such a comfort. I miss him so much.

We are so sorry that you are lonely for Chatham. I think perhaps he knows and is closer than you think. Love isn't just from a body--but from a spirit and I think Chatham was a spirit connection. He's still there. Purrs and headbutts.
Aw, I'm sorry. We miss him too, but I know you miss him more than all of us put together.

I think Chatham is still around, looking over you from the Bridge.
You don't get over a "child." Ever.
But time is a huge help.

I do have Emma now that fills in, but I'll never have another like my Danny. Rest in peace sweet Chatham. You were loved so much and we know you watch over you mombean.
